Covington County has over 1,000 farms adding up to over 200,000 acres of farmland. Poultry and egg production is the largest agricultural commodity, followed by cattle and peanuts. Covington County ranks third in tree nut farming, and fifth in dairy cattle and milk production.
Additionally, Covington County has the resources for food product processing and manufacturing.
