Two move-in-ready facilities are available for purchase in the City of Opp in Covington County, Alabama. They make up the former Molded Fiber Glass (MFG) company’s plants, which were used to mold plastic and fiberglass products. However, the facilities can be adapted to accommodate a variety of manufacturing needs and provide ample space for any company to expand its business operations.

“The two available manufacturing plants in the City of Opp are less than 20 years old and are in excellent condition,” says Rick Clifton, president and CEO of the Covington County Economic Development Council (CCEDC). “There’s a perfect balance between manufacturing floor space and dedicated office areas, along with ample parking at both sites.”

Learn more about the two available properties and the benefits of moving your business to Covington County.

Plant 1: 56,593 Sq. Ft. at 200 Hattaway Road

The first building is situated on 22.90 acres and has 91 parking spaces for employees. This facility includes a 4,909 sq. ft. two-story office space and a manufacturing facility with five grade-level doors and two dock-high doors. The plant underwent an environmental assessment in 2022, and no issues were found. There is a chemical storage building designed for the secure handling of flammable or harmful materials.

This plant has its own Title V operating permit with a 245-ton VOC emissions limit (490 total for both plants combined).

MFG is asking $2.52 million for the facility. Read more about it here.

Plant 2: 54,162 Sq. Ft. at 18361 Galileo Drive

The second building is slightly smaller and situated on 6.37 acres. It comes with a 3,499 sq. ft. single-story office and 41 parking spaces. There are two grade-level doors and two dock-high doors. This plant also underwent an environmental assessment in 2022 and no issues were found.

While this plant can be modified to meet your specific business needs, it has three paint booths with specialized ventilation systems to remove chemicals from the air. It also has its own Title V operating permit with a 245-ton VOC emissions limit.

MFG is asking $2.07 million for the facility. Read more about it here.
