Shaw Industries Celebrates $250 Million Expansion in Andalusia

Gov. Kay Ivey and others are in Andalusia today to commemorate a $250 million expansion of the Shaw Industries facility there.
The expansion, announced about a year ago, involves construction and expansion of the plant, as well as installation of “substantial amounts of new manufacturing equipment,” the company announced. The improvements deal with ergonomics, safety and energy efficiency at the plant. They are set to be completed by 2020.
