Businesses land new operations at SARA

McDermott Aviation, LLC and Isolair, Inc. announced Thursday the location of its business operations to the South Alabama Regional Airport in Covington County, bringing about 30 new jobs to the area.
McDermott Aviation was established in 1982, beginning operations as an Aerial Application specialist company. Since then, it has grown into Australia’s largest privately-owned helicopter company while still operating out of their original premises on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

Gulf Air Already Investing in Covington County
Jun 24 2020In August 2019, it was announced that Gulf Air Group would open the Covington Maintenance Center in the Twin Hangars at SARA.
Then, SARA airport authority approved a five-year lease agreement with Gulf Air Group of Crestview for Covington Maintenance Center.
